SCOC denies any correspondence on visitation hours/days: in its filings of Oct 27th (see above) and in court on Oct 28th, the Sheriff and County lawyer justified severely shortened hours and days of visitation by saying that they had negotiated their visitation plan with the State Commission of Correction. The SCOC in a belated (after the court hearing) response to a freedom of information request on correspondence related to visitation and staffing replied they had no such records of any converstatiosn on the matter with the Sheriff.
